The Active Community Engagement Continuum
This working paper presents a conceptual framework for analyzing community engagement in RH/FP and the role the community plays in institutionalizing lasting behavior and social change. Based on a review of documents, proven practices, and the lessons learned through the ACQUIRE Project’s experience, the continuum can be used by global RH/FP projects for the strategic integration of community engagement into service delivery and build a shared understanding of community engagement when designing, implementing, and documenting programs.
